What to send
Useful submissions include the term, what it means, where you hear it, an original example sentence, and context that distinguishes local usage from broader slang.
What helps us verify it
If available, include a source link or publication, spelling or pronunciation variants, whether the usage is current or historical, and enough place or community context to understand the claim. A citation or link is better than copying a long passage from another source.
Review before publication
Submissions are editorial leads, not published facts. They are never published automatically; meaning, geography, tone, status, and source claims still need independent review against Maperla’s normal quality gates.
Privacy
Do not include private personal information about yourself or another person. Send only the context needed to evaluate the language claim.
